Adaptiva had the privilege of being a platinum sponsor at Microsoft Ignite 2015, a gigantic show with over 20,000 people. The event was well organized and never felt overcrowded, with one exception: Adaptiva’s Harley-Davidson giveaway!
A huge crowd gathered on all four sides of our Adaptiva booth—and inside it—and sucked up the nearby wifi so we had to draw via smartphone on the cell network. Five unfortunate people could have had a Harley, but they didn’t show up for the live drawing so we just kept drawing until we got to number six.
Congratulations to the winner, Carl Anderson!
The tech buzz on the show floor was all about Windows 10. I haven’t seen this much excitement about a new OS since Windows XP. Everybody wants it, even large enterprises are already planning their deployments. We had a steady stream of SCCM administrators coming through asking about Adaptiva OneSite 5.0, which will make massive scale Windows 10 deployments simpler, more economical, and much faster.
Adaptiva’s SCCM-based Windows 10 technology is so hot that CTO Deepak Kumar’s breakout session was standing room only: “Successfully Deploy Windows 10 in the Enterprise Using System Center Configuration Manager”
If you missed it, you can watch it here on Microsoft’s Channel 9. Although it’s been up for less than week, it already has over 1,200 views and counting.
Sure, Ignite had a lot of amazing technical sessions. Yes, absolutely there was a ton of business going on. But the main event was not at the McCormick Center, it was Adaptiva’s Ignite Party at the top of the Willis Tower, 1,353 feet in the air. People can’t stop talking about it!
Microsoft Ignite is headed back to Chicago in 2016. I hope to see you there!
